Companies across the nation are beginning to realize the measurable benefits of a healthy work force. Lower absenteeism, reduced health care costs, and greater individual productivity are some of the results of a balanced Wellness Program. And more and more business leaders are turning to the Mobile Monk to provide programs that enhance the mental and physical health of their employees.
"I have found that Zazen practice with Mr. Cerpok has greatly reduced my stress and has made me a more effective manager." -Janelle Bronner, Chase Bank
"Week after week my staff expresses their excitement in practicing with Mr. Cerpok. I highly recommend him!" -Dr. Allan Markus, Campus Medical Services, Arizona State University
"Sensei Cerpok continuously presents insightful information, with humor and enthusiasm." -Gordon Osberg, Center Field Construction
Some of the programs that we offer are:
Stress Reduction (Zazen Meditation). Focusing on proper posture and deep breathing, the practice immediately oxygenates the brain, muscles, and internal organs, while reducing stress and mental fatigue. A short question and answer period follows each session whereby the practitioner is able to examine some of the random thoughts that surface during their meditation. This practice has proven to enhance mental and physical health, create a more positive work and home environment, and increase individual productivity.
Blood Flow Exercise (Kokyuu no Kata). This series of slow and gentle movements is similar to Tai-Chi. The movements have been shown to increase circulation and create better balance and flexibility. Kokyuu no Kata has been successfully taught to individuals ranging from nine to ninety years of age!
Primal Exercise (Physical Fitness). This extremely effective method of exercise was first developed hundreds of years ago to help strengthen practitioners of Kung-Fu, who did not have access to modern exercise equipment. Also known as Animal Walking, we had to change the name because too many people thought it was a dog obedience class!
In fact, participants are taught to mimic the walking styles of different animals. Fun, interactive, and unlike anything you have done before, the benefits of this type of exercise include learning to manipulate your own body weight, low impact movement (reduces chance of injury), increased balance on a core level, and increased strength without additional bulk. The training can be adjusted for any level of practitioner, from beginners to fitness professionals.
Self Defense and Fitness (Byakko Ryu Jujutsu). Techniques from this non-aggressive system of self defense are amazingly effective and yet extremely simple to learn. The movements are designed to increase an individual's timing, balance, speed, and form resulting in increased power. Taught in a fun and cooperative manner, participants will come to find that there is no risk of injury within the practice.
Combined, the programs mentioned above can be implemented as a comprehensive Wellness Program for your company. But even companies with Wellness Programs already in place have found that one, or more, of our programs were necessary to create a balanced approach to the health of their employees.
The cost of implementing any of our programs may be determined by the size and location of the business to be serviced and by the number of programs to be implemented. However, as a general guide-line the suggested donation is:
$25 per thirty minute session for groups of 1-5 people. $50 per thirty minute session for groups of 6-12 people.
For larger groups, please call for specific cost. To schedule sessions, or to arrange a short demonstration of the benefits of our programs, please contact us at 480-657-8695 or email us at contact@mobilemonk.org.
